Boats and birds, here for the spring
While it might still snow on any flowers brave enough to be poking their heads above the ground, we’re embracing spring here at the shop. Our full shipment of Eddyline kayaks is here, and with the unprecedented demand we saw last summer, we’re limited to only what we have in stock for this season. The read: if you’d like to get out in a kayak this summer, come say hi proto as they’re going fast.
Speaking of fast, we’re excited to a new dealer for Oiselle, a women lead clothing company focusing on running. They’ve got a strong story, great products, and we love how they brighten up our day. Come check them out for yourself, or that special someone.
The Sale banner is up, and you know what that means
Yup, that’s the fabled RMO Sale Banner. It indicates, in big bold letters, that the best prices of the season are here in the shop. There’s outerwear, AT ski gear, even a few climbing items for those keeners staring at their rock shoes while it snows outside.
Swing by and check it out, or give us a call (406-752-2446) to see if we have your size.
Holiday 2020 Update: Gear Availability, Shop Hours, and Recycled Rolls On.
Well, can we even call that a fall? Leaves are still frozen on the trees here in town, but we’ve been busy in the ski department and out in the snow since mid-October. Covid-19 continues to make this year unique; we find ourselves uniquely grateful for the continued support of our community in these challenging times. Being outside has always been at the heart of our fun and our business. It’s a joy to see that when many things are a little sideways, that direction out the door is still as steadfast as ever.
Demand for things like ski boots, skins, and nordic poles continues to build as the winter rolls on. Our selection is still strong, but our availability to get more inventory may run into the same supply issues seen by the bike and kayak worlds this past summer. We’d love to make sure you get what you need for a happy and healthy winter outside. If there’s something you’re thinking about, either for you or as a gift, get in touch soon for the best chance that we’ll still have your size.
To accommodate holiday demand, we’re adding Sundays 11am-4pm back into the mix through the new year. Our other hours remain 10am-6pm Monday through Saturday, with the following exceptions:
12/24, Christmas Eve: 10am-3pm
12/25, Christmas: Closed
12/31, New Year’s Eve: 10am-3pm
1/1, New Year’s Day: Closed
On the RMO Recycled front, we’d like to thank everyone who brought gear in or managed to score a deal on our changed program for this season. Finding space for our rentals means we’re reducing the size and scope of the sale. However, nordic (classic and skate) and alpine touring hardgoods remain open for sale. We also welcome the same if you’ve still got something in that category you’d like to sell!
Summer Sundays, Masks, and canister fuel in stock
A few shop updates:
This summer, we’re running Sunday hours from noon to 4pm, alongside Monday to Saturday hours of 10am-6pm. If you need something and it’s outside those hours, please call us–we have some options that might work.
As part of the governor’s order, masks are required in RMO as we are a public, indoor space where social distancing is not always possible. Thank you for doing your part to keep our customers and employees safe. If you’d like a curbside contactless pickup, we can certainly arrange that by phone.
We have canister fuel! The threading of our canisters works for small backpacking stoves (MSR, Optimus, etc) and also Jetboils. There seems to be a shortage, but we’ve got a small mountain of it.
A huge thank you to our customers and our community–we couldn’t do this without you, and we appreciate your support.
